Participation Conditions
The participant pass entitles the holder to participate in the course booked. It should be brought with you on the day of the course.
Scope of services:
The scope of services is set out in the event descriptions on our website and in the booking confirmation referring to them. Changes to essential services due to unforeseen events such as storms, cable car breakdowns, lack of snow, political unrest and similar are possible and permissible.
Registration:
You can register online, by telephone or in writing. Your registration is binding. We will send you a booking confirmation, which marks the conclusion of the participation contract. By registering, you agree to our terms and conditions.
Payment:
Payment is due upon receipt of the booking confirmation and invoice. The amount stated in the invoice must be transferred to the account specified within the stated payment period. Entitlement to participate arises only after payment of the course fee.
Withdrawal:
Cancellation before the start of the event must be made in writing (by email or in writing).
Unfortunately, we incur costs even before our events take place, for example, the buses and teachers have to be booked and paid for in advance.
We charge for cancellations as follows:
- No retention up to and including 30 days before departure
- 29 to 20 days before departure: 30%
- 19 to 14 days before departure: 50%
- 13. to 7. days before depature 80%
- We cannot offer any refunds from 7 days before the start of the course or after the course has started. Of course, it is up to the customer to prove that the damage is less.
After the start of a ski/snowboard course or other event, no compensation or refund can be granted for services not used by the customer (e.g. individual course days). A booked beginners’ course cannot be started on the third or fourth day of the course if the first two days of the course could not be attended, e.g. due to illness. The other course participants will then be too far advanced.
We therefore recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. You are welcome to use the product offered by Europäische Reiseversicherung (ERV) through us and book it in addition. You can find more information on this on our website in the main menu: Info and Travel – Course Insurance.
In the event of cancellation, it is possible to name a replacement participant in the same age and ability group. Please let us know as soon as possible.
Liability:
Participation in all events is at your own risk. We are only liable for gross negligence and intent, except in the case of damage to health, body and life.
Each course participant is solely responsible for ensuring that they are able to meet the requirements of the booked course or ski day trip in terms of health.
Furthermore, the ski school is not liable in the event of force majeure (lack of snow, technical problems on the part of the lift operators, weather-, road- or traffic-related restrictions on the daily routine included).
The Schweitzer Team Ski School is not liable for service disruptions in connection with services that are merely brokered as third-party services (e.g. loss, theft, damage, delay, etc.). The respective carrier is liable for the carriage of passengers.
The transport companies and the Schweitzer Team ski school are not liable for any loss or mix-up of items brought along.
Course cancellation by the organiser:
The Schweitzer Team ski school is entitled to cancel courses that have not been booked by at least three people. In this case, the customer will receive a full refund of the course fees already paid. The customer is not entitled to any further claims.
Care:
Childcare for children and young people begins when they get on the bus in the morning and ends when they get off the bus in the afternoon. Please therefore ask for the return times directly at the bus and pick up your children in good time. We try to return on time, but traffic delays cannot be avoided. We ask for your understanding in such cases.
Day drivers who have not booked a course are not supervised. If you are under 16 years of age, you will need a written declaration of consent from a parent or guardian.
Picture material:
The Schweitzer Team ski school provides its customers with recorded image material at events on your website in the internal area. Names will not be mentioned. The internal area is password protected and not publicly accessible. Each course participant can only use the password to view and download the images provided in his or her course. If a participant (or their legal guardian) does not agree, they should refrain from doing so. Please send any objections to the following email address: bildmaterial@schweitzer-team.de
An important note on equipment:
Precipitation with a high moisture content can never be ruled out and is no reason for a course postponement or cancellation. In this case, please choose particularly water-repellent clothing.
In order to attend a ski or snowboard course, you must have equipment that works. Therefore, please have your equipment checked in a specialist shop before the start of the course. Our instructors are not allowed to adjust ski bindings as they do not have the appropriate measuring device. Snowboard bindings can only be adjusted under difficult conditions on the slope and should be adjusted by a specialist shop.
